Welcome to South Lakeland Lacemakers

The South Lakeland Lace Makers are a group of lace makers and tatters who meet monthly in South Cumbria. There are over 50 members who have different levels of experience and make a variety of types of lace.

We gather on the third Saturday of each month at Lane Farm, Westmorland County Showground, Crooklands, near Kendal, Cumbria, LA7 7NH.  This venue is just off the M6 so we have members from a wide area.  We meet from 10.00 until 15.30.  We have a programme of speakers and demonstrators, workshops, trips to lace days and regular lace sales.  Tea and coffee is provided but members bring their own lunches.

We also demonstrate regularly at Farfield Mill in Sedbergh, Abbott Hall in Kendal, The Rose Show, The Steam Gathering and Westmorland Agricultural Show (see Events Calendar and Links pages).

New members are always welcome from complete beginners to advanced lace makers. Please see our Events Calendar for the year's programme. Feel free to just come and meet us or use the Contact Us page on this site for further information.
